100 Things About Me, 2007

In a writing group I was in, we were prompted to write a list of 100 things about ourselves. It turned out to be challenging and self-enlightening. I did this in January of 2007. Reading it now, I can see my growth and change:

1) I drool when I sleep.
2) I love my cat Butter, very much - she's my squish! My sweet lil' ol' lady!
3) I want to see the aurora borealis SOOOOO BAD!
4) I am in love, but we haven't met yet.
5) ...we communicate regularly in my dreams.
6) I've got lead feet - I LOVE to drive fast.
7) I'm very much into my dreams & have all types, including precognitive.
8) I dream about God sometimes.
9) I was abandoned by my dad, twice.
10) I've never been to a funeral & feel very blessed because of it.
11) ...but fear it's all gonna happen at once now.
12) I don't smoke - never understood the attraction.
13) I want to live where it snows so bad I ache for it.
14) I'm extremely intuitive.
15) I love beer - GOOD beer.
16) I'm not into organized religion because: a) the word “religion” means “relationship with God”, & to me this is a very personal thing; b) my beliefs & understandings extend way beyond any organized religions teachings (that I've read or heard of, anyway); c) They didn't answer my questions & curiosities to my satisfaction. The only thing that did was turning inward to create my own relationship with God; d) Now what I claim as my own spiritual truths do not fit into any organized religions definitions or guidelines. I DO however believe all religions are good & right for those that believe in them. I believe that they all lead to the same place, so what does it matter if we take different paths?; e) I feel that the path I choose is MY business, & God's. No one else's; and f) I also think religions were organized (by man) to organize man, for the purposes of instilling fear for man-made purposes, not God's.
17) Someone once told me my “eyes are the color fried chicken should be, good enough to eat!” My sister used to tell me they're the color of sh^t.
18) I look back on my life & analyze it on a regular basis, for learning & growing.
19) I am always hot - my body's a furnace.
20) I have a lime tree in my living room.
21) I love to read, but prefer non-fiction.
22) I look good in pinks, reds & browns, & apparently purples.
23) I love laughing so hard it hurts & makes me cry.
24) I once saw poo fly in a Sears bathroom while Christmas shopping... this triggered one of those good laughs - lemme know if ya wanna hear the story (no it wasn't my poo).
25) I'm am empath.
36) I have 4 sharks in my fish tank.
37) I have laughed so hard & deeply that it turned into crying... then melded to where I could no longer tell whether I was laughing or crying.
38) I have an above average IQ but I have NO education.
39) I graduated high school a year early.
40) Never had a prom, or a high school graduation ceremony.
41) I want my mom to be so proud of me it makes her cry, & feel it'll never happen.
42) I have a handful of friends... but I've had most of them for 20 years & counting.
43) Shopping gives me joy!
44) ...but I rarely shop because it's a luxury I can't afford.
45) ...my life has always been about surviving. & I'm exhausted.
46) I believe everyone needs to experience true joy on a daily basis.
47) I've been told I smile with my eyes - don't know what it means but I like it nonetheless.
48) I have big boobs & can't see my own feet without leaning forward.
49) ...I hate that because I can't wear anything I want.
50) I had a stalker once who's in prison for killing someone I used to work with.
51) I love being a web mistress.
52) I love animals so much.
53) I don't believe in coincidence - I believe in synchronicity.
54) I don't think it's a coincidence that “dog” spells “god” backwards, because dogs are the only creatures on this EARTH that love you more than they love themselves!
55) I feel humans can learn a lot about love from animals.
56) I learned about unconditional love from animals, not my family.
57) I almost died when I was 5, from stress.
58) I was almost kidnapped when I was 7.
59) I've been working since I was 13.
60) I'm very tired. I need joy in my life. Life is exhausting!
61) I have a love/hate relationship with AOL. haahaa
62) What I want more than anything in life, is to be someone's world.
63) I love my boss... he's one of the most wonderful people I've ever met.
64) I'm a double Pisces (Pisces Sun with Pisces Rising).
65) I'm a mutt - Heinz 57 Extra Spicy (English, German, Swedish, French).
66) I believe family is not about blood line, but heart-line.
67) I love shooting stars.
68) I love storms! I want to see a tornado & be in a hurricane.
69) I can't believe how hard this is! 30 more questions to go!
70) My cat snores & hogs the bed - she's big, so this is an issue.
71) I'm envious of the boy in Flipper - I want to have a friendship with a dolphin too.
72) I want to have my honeymoon in Maccu Piccu.
73) I'm afraid to get married (the ceremony - can I skip & go straight to the honeymoon & marriage?)
74) One of my favorite writers is C.S. Lewis.
75) One of my favorite poets is Kahlil Gibran.
76) I LOVE the smell of puppy breath!
77) I can't watch the news without getting upset, so I don't watch.
78) I haven't had sex in over 6 years - by choice.
79) Helicopters excite me! They make me stupid, acting like a kid on Christmas.
80) My dream job would be ... I don't know yet.
81) I love music... I love to be in the center of music - it's always been my recluse.
82) My step dad has been my guardian angel, time & time again.
83) I always have a lot of energy in my fingertips, so much that they itch.
84) I'm a fast typer - I type even faster when angry (sparks fly!).
85) I can't stand rudeness.
86) I love my own company & enjoy solitude.
87) I have a 6th sense, & sometimes a 7th & 8th haahaa
88) Sometimes I really want kids, & sometimes I don't.
89) My cousin's a major league baseball player & I'm very proud of him.
90) I think a lot... I have a very analytical mind.
91) I've made some bad mistakes in life. Who hasn't tho, right?
92) It hurts me deeply to see someone's feelings being hurt.
93) I make the BEST salsa ever!
94) I'm a very deep person, & because of this I often feel lonely, even when others are present.
95) My mom always put her men before us kids.
96) I LOVE camping! Once lived at a campground for a month.
97) I was homeless for 6 months when I was 21 (or 22? The years back then seem to blend into one).
98) Everything I know is self-taught.
99) I'm 2 short & completely stumped!
