“A Friend in You”

I have a friend
who's loved me true
from the moment of my birth
Who held me dear
when pain was near
and showered me in mirth
A friend with love
so strong and bold
it overrode all fear
for safe I felt
when I was held
with love and joyful tears
And through these tears
I see the truth, alas
before my eyes
I have a friend
whose love is true
and never will demise
