“Beautiful Butterrfly”
I saw you fluttering
about one day
prismatic vibrancy
I thought,
the way the sun got caught
in your colors
that way
as you fluttered about that day
white flowers seeming to be
your nectar of delight
appropriately so, as your own
beauty starkly framed
against the silken breath
of cloud that captured
your attention
suspended for a moment
captured in my mind
until you fluttered off
again to find another
moment like this
I chased you that day
capturing your moments
Making them my own
until you were gone
