“The One and The Sun”

In a darkened room
I sit and cry, I feel so blue
And don't know why
When suddenly a light appears
So warm and loving, it dissolves my tears
And in this light I see a face
Such a beautiful sight, so full of grace

“What is it you want with me?
I'm just a failure, can't you see?”
I asked, as I choked back the tears.

“I am the light of the Great Central Sun.
I'm here to sooth your darkest night,
And I come from the One.
Failure you are not, nor ever will be.
Oh, dear one, can't you see?”
said the light with such tenderness.

“Who is this One of which you speak?
And you come from the sun?
I'm confused, please forgive me” I said.

“Nothing to forgive, beloved one,
The life you've lived is a life well loved,
And you cannot fail, no matter what you do,
For the oceans you've sailed
were created by you!
This is the roughest part of your journey,
With a night so dark and no stars to see.
I'm here to guide your way
To steer your ship into the bay of dawn,
From whence the night will cease”
Said the light.

“But what about this One
that you mentioned
and the Great Central Sun
that you say you are from?”
I asked, and the light responds
With such absolution,

“The One
is the Sum
that the All
is from.

The Sun
Is the One
That breathes
The Life

Into the All
That is the
One Sun.”
