“Love's Limbo”
The scoffing sun
her temperance
far gone
My heart
shriveled, drained
of the very essence
of the one I love
and the one that I was
I’m dying here
in this barren land
of broken hearts
and shattered dreams
No more
does my soul long
for the quench of a lovers
embrace
For now, I can only
desire sweet
temperance from the sun
of this love-forsaken
place
This place that is void
of my once vibrant heart
